Who You Are
You love design, objects, art, all things handmade, and the notion of a really great gift. You are entrepreneurially minded, comfortable working in a small business environment and communicating feedback and ideas proactively. You have 1+ years of experience working in retail, and are comfortable with the notion of running an entire store on your own. The work we do demands high engagement with our customers who are often looking to us to help guide them through their personal gifting needs. You have a keen eye for detail in both maintaining a curated shop experience as well as packaging up a gift to be taken home for that special someone. If you like engaging with people to make connections, love great objects and how they were made, and like to make things shine - RIDER is the place for you.

Job Objectives
As Shopkeeper, you will work with customers exhibiting a nuanced understanding of their particular gifting needs, paired with a strong knowledge of our curated selection and the ability to listen and problem solve. You are committed to helping customers by offering exceptional, personable customer service. While on the floor, you also apply exceptional attention to product care, merchandising and overall shop cleanliness.

You are expected to restock products when they are sold, wrap gifts neatly for customers upon request, and act with an overall sense of ownership. You must be comfortable working on your feet for hours at a time and able to lift objects at least 20 lbs in weight.  You must have some level of flexibility in your schedule as gifting is an extremely seasonal business driven by major and minor holidays.
